Rear window replacement

Unlike a windscreen, a damaged rear window needs to be replaced as a rule. All rear windows replaced in Carglass® workshops come with a warranty that guarantees quality.

Stage I

During stage I we prepare the vehicle. Before we replace the rear window, we make sure your vehicle’s body and interior are protected by covering these areas.

Stage II

Next we remove the damaged rear window. We remove as many glass shards as possible, even cleaning up the interior. Then we cut and remove the seals or glue that hold the rear window in place.

Stage III

Next we prepare the new rear window. We cover the vehicle’s frame with a primer and let it dry, then follow up with a special glue that ensures strong and steady installation.

Stage IV

Finally we install the new rear window. We carefully fit the window to the vehicle and replace any original attachments. The glue takes min. 60 minutes to dry and usually we recommend that you don’t leave until this hour has passed.
